HUNTSMAN DEFENCE SIGNS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH EOTECH LLC

Townsville, QLD – March 2022. Queensland-based defence and law enforcement industry company, Huntsman Defence, has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Eotech LLC to become an authorised representative and Australian distributor of Eotech’s holographic weapon sights, precision rifle scopes, weapon lighting systems, digital sensor systems and night-vision products for the Australian market. The agreement adds Huntsman Defence to a group of authorised worldwide distributors for the Eotech brand. Huntsman Defence will distribute Eotech products to Australian law enforcement, military, government agency end-users, and civilian sport shooters.

The Eotech Brand

Eotech is best known for its battle-proven Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS) and Magnifier line of Optics. Eotech has since expanded its product catalogue to include the ‘Golden Bullseye Optic of the Year’ award-winning range of Vudu® 1-6x Precision Rifle Scopes. As of 2022, Eotech has acquired Intevac Inc’s Photonics division, a California-based technology leader in cutting-edge digital sensor systems and night-vision programs for military and law enforcement. Eotech has further diversified its product line by recently launching its first LED-based pistol sight, the EFLX Mini Reflex Sight, for both professional and private use.

“The battle-proven performance of the Eotech HWS systems is unmatched. This agreement represents an outstanding addition to the product-based solutions offered by Huntsman Defence. The Eotech partnership will advance our ability to support the men and women who serve the community or travel far from home into harm’s way,” said Huntsman Defence Managing Director Rob Woods.

Benefits of the Partnership for the Australian market

“Our government end-user partners require optic solutions that provide unmatched accuracy and performance in order to minimise the risk of harm to the community, non-combatants and operators. They look for characteristics such as ruggedness, speed to acquire a sight picture, free from parallax and other negative impacts to accuracy and precision, to neutralise a threat in a close engagement space, the ability to integrate those systems in both daylight and low-light settings, and an economical cost of ownership. The EOTECH range of Holographic Weapon Sights excels in all of these areas,” added Mr Woods.

Huntsman Defence is also keen to support the civilian sport shooting community through the commercial sale of Eotech products in Australia. The company plans to achieve that through a wholesale distribution initiative planned for launch in the second quarter of the 2023 fiscal year. Huntsman Aus has a growing Australian dealer network. The company expects the agreement to serve as an Australian Distributor of Eotech weapons sights and optics, will enhance the existing dealer network relationships and establish many more.
